Hawaii Video Shoot
We’ve just wrapped a Hawaii video shoot in the USA, filming on location for 10 days with a travel-ready, cinematic setup. When you’re away for that long, you need a package that stays reliable, moves quickly, and delivers a consistent look day after day. So we kept the approach simple: strong visuals, clear storytelling, and plenty of usable coverage for the edit.
To deliver that flexibility, we built the camera package around a Blackmagic URSA cinema camera supported by a set of Blackmagic Pocket cameras. This gave us a dependable “A-cam” for controlled moments, while keeping the option to move fast and grab extra angles when the schedule tightened. As a result, we could cover key beats confidently, then layer in supporting shots that add pace and texture.
Hawaii video shoot: camera setup and workflow
The URSA handled the more controlled shots where we wanted maximum consistency and a premium finish. We used the Pocket cameras for b-roll, alternative angles, and moments that happened quickly. In addition, smaller bodies are perfect on travel shoots because they fit tight locations and allow discreet coverage without slowing the day down.
This multi-camera approach also helps in post-production. Extra angles create clean cut points and keep sequences dynamic. Therefore, the final edit feels lively without relying on heavy effects or filler.
Capturing content that works across platforms
Even on location, we filmed with end use in mind. A single project might need a main website edit, social cutdowns, and short highlight clips for LinkedIn or Instagram. So we captured wide establishing shots, medium coverage for context, and tight inserts for detail and atmosphere. That variety keeps the edit flexible and protects the story.
Production support on location
Tomorrow’s Creative brings a calm, organised workflow to overseas shoots. We keep communication clear, manage the schedule, and stay efficient when conditions change. Ultimately, that’s what makes a Hawaii video shoot run smoothly across a full 10-day schedule.
